Christmas in Cornwall

There are plenty of tempting festivities dotted around Cornwall; from charming villages that come to life with twinkling lights, to enchanting seasonal attractions and performances. The seaside town embraces the festive spirit with nearby ice rinks, markets and a treasure trove of stores so your holiday will be packed full of superb memories. 

After a busy day of seasonal shopping and sightseeing, return to the snug surrounds of the hotel - and perhaps take a dip in our heated pool before chilling out on a heated ceramic bed.

Christmas Lights at Mousehole | December 

As if plucked straight from a fairy-story, Mousehole Christmas lights are a staple in every Cornish festive period. The popular display of lights fill the harbour with various shapes in lots of colours, as Christmas lights bob along the water and reflect on the surface.  

Get your skates on at The Eden Project | October - February

Whether you cling to the side or pirouette through the middle, take to the ice for some festive fun. The Eden Project is a winter wonderland at Christmas time and a must-see attraction if you’re spending Christmas in Cornwall. They also host a range of other activities throughout Christmas, so why not combine your ice skating trip with something festive, like wreath-making or new after-dark experiences?

Christmas Day Dip at Gyllngvase beach 

Every year in Cornwall on Christmas day, boxing day and new years day, people voluntarily run into the Cornish sea in the heart of winter to raise money for charity and freeze their baubles off. Whether you fancy taking part or prefer to enjoy the fun from the beach, it’s sure to be a memorable experience.

If you’re visiting us before Christmas, why not time your visit to coincide with Padstow Christmas Festival at the start of December, where top chefs from across the UK demonstrate their skills. Wander around the gourmet food market brimming with artisan edibles and stop for a mulled wine. 

Festive Afternoon Tea 

The quintessentially British Afternoon Tea has been given a delightful festive makeover. Enjoy a selection of festive-themed finger sandwiches, homemade scones, pastries and cakes; lovingly prepared for you by our chefs and served in the ambience of our luxurious and relaxing lounge and terrace overlooking stunning Falmouth Bay. Healeys Christmas Markets

Warm your spirits with a magnificent mulled cider during a visit to Healeys Cyder Farm. Fairy lights, twinkling around the cobbled courtyard and the scent of spruce and spice is all around. Be sure to make a trip before t’season is out and admire as the farm is transformed into a fairytale world of mulled cyder and hearty food, Christmas songs, and crafts.
