ST PIRANS DAY EVENTS - March
Oggy oggy oggy! St Piran’s Day is on 5th March and sees celebrations taking place all over Cornwall. Marches, festivals and shouts mark the special day across the Duchy and beyond.
FALMOUTH CLASSICS REGATTA - June
The camaraderie of the best Classic Boat Rallies comes to Falmouth. The highlight being the Parade of Sail and Power when the boats parade out of the inner harbour making a magnificent spectacle of Pilot Cutters, Working Boats and other traditional craft under full sail.
INTERNATIONAL SEA SHANTY FESTIVAL - June
One of the largest free nautical music and song festivals anywhere! Falmouth plays host to over 65 sea shanty groups from all over the UK as well as from many other countries, as they perform their unique take on sea songs and shanties at over 20 very different venues throughout the town.
FALMOUTH WEEK - August
Falmouth Week is a major attraction for locals and visitors alike. With its origins as a local sailing regatta dating back at least as far as 1837, the week has evolved into not only a major sailing competition in the South West, but also an opportunity for sailors and landlubbers to enjoy the many daytime and evening events in the town.
OYSTER FESTIVAL - October
Almost as unique as the fishing tradition it celebrates, the festival embraces wonderful community spirit so you’ll leave feeling like a local. Central to the festival are the cookery demonstrations provided by leading local chefs. Also look out for Betty Stogs and the infamous Falmouth Marine Band, who have also become an integral part of the festival, providing fantastic entertainment for visitors.
FALMOUTH’S FESTIVE WEEKEND - December
Pair a fabulous festive land train, artificial ice rink, a Victorian carousel and much more with music and dance and you’re in for a real treat this yuletide season. ‘Tis the season after all!
