
Two Decades of Dedication
Gail first joined The Royal Duchy Hotel in 2000 as a trainee receptionist. She quickly rose through the ranks, becoming Deputy Receptionist, Head Receptionist and Office manager until eventually landing her current role as Assistant to the Director in 2021.
Over the years, Gail has taken on roles across the hotel, including Health & Safety and HR, covering maternity and even lending a hand at our sister hotel, The Carlyon Bay Hotel.
One of the things that makes Gail so invaluable is her versatility. Her current role as Assistant to the Director encompasses a wide variety of responsibilities from working with the marketing & events team for any upcoming events, assisting with revenue management, reception administration, wages and stepping in to help as a duty manager when needed.
But Gail's contribution doesn't end with her job title. She is always ready to roll up her sleeves wherever needed, whether that's making beds with housekeeping, lending a hand at the bar or supporting the restaurant team during busier hours.
Gail is the one behind the scenes making sure details don't get missed, events run smoothly and the whole team feels supported. From her very first day to today, Gail has been at the heart of The Royal Duchy Hotel. Her dedication and knowledge embody the very best of hospitality and we're very proud to celebrate her story.
