Please make yourself aware of our fire exits on arrival. Our fire alarm is a siren. On hearing this, please evacuate the building and assemble on the lawn opposite the outdoor terrace.
Our fire alarm equipment is tested every Friday morning at 11.00am.
For guests who require further assistance in the case of an emergency evacuation, please agree on an action plan with the management team on the day of arrival.
We hope that you enjoy the use of the Swimming Pool facilities during your stay. Pool towels are provided. Please deposit them in the bins provided after use. For your safety and enjoyment, and in keeping with the Local Authority requirements, we need to draw your attention to the following information:
- All children under 15 years of age must be accompanied by a aprent/adult
- Please observe all notices around the pool area, particularly no diving
- Children must not be carried on the shoulders by each other or their parents. This is particularly hazardous.
- We reserve the right to exclude any persons, whose behaviour compromises the safety of themselves or others. Persons who compromise the enjoyment of other users of the pool may also be excluded
- Please note that children will not be allowed to run about in the pool area, and we request that parents assist in controlling this
- FIRE - Should the fire alarms be raised whilst you are swimming, please vacate the pool by your nearest exit and proceed to the Assembly Point on the lawn.
- To encourage the safe and responsible use and enjoyment of the pools, we discourage any alcohol at the swimming pools
- Alcoholic drinks may be consumed around the pool, but you should not swim
- Drinks are permitted but only in plastic glasses
To ensure the safety of children using the pools our policy regarding supervision is as follows:
- Children are classified as young people under the age of 15
- Children under the age of 15 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times whilst around the pool area
- Children under the age of 8 years who are swimming in the pool area must be supervised by a responsible adult who must accompany the child in the water
- One adult can only supervise 2 children under the age of 8 at any time
- Children over the age of 8 years can be supervised from the poolside, but should not be left unattended and should always be kept in eyesight
To ensure the safety of people using the pool, the following procedure is to be carried out:
Lone bathers are not permitted unless all the following criteria have been met
- Lone bathers should check in with reception to ensure that our staff are aware that someone will be bathing alone
- The recpetionist should asses the person whether they are fit to swim, i.e medical conditions, effects of alcohol etc.
- The guest should agree on a time limit with reception and check out with reception when finished
- Reception should keep the pool under very frequent surveillance via CCTV and alert team members of the situation
- Reception should inform the Duty Manager, Porter and Pool Cleaning Staff of the lone bather so they can also monitor
The hotel strives to provide a family-friendly ambience, although every effort is made to provide a safe environment, we politely ask parents to supervise children at all times.
