Mousehole lights

Celebrating its 55th year, the picturesque village of Mousehole is home to one of the most famous Christmas lights displays in Cornwall. Head down to the harbour where you’ll find strings of coloured lights twinkling along both quays, fantastic floating displays in the water itself as well as along the winding streets. A real sight to behold, this year’s switch on will be taking place on Saturday 15th December at 6.30pm.

Ice skating at The Eden Project

The only indoor rink in Cornwall, children and adults alike will love taking to the ice in this wonderful setting. Public skate sessions are 40 minutes long and need to be booked in advance. There are also special sessions available for different ages and abilities.

Made in Cornwall Christmas Fair

The perfect place to find those unique gifts for family and friends, the fair will be taking place between 28th November and 2nd December, providing an impressive selection of Cornish crafts, food and drink. All made in the county, you’ll find just under a hundred stalls to browse selling everything from jigsaws to pottery, clothing to hand made chocolate.

Padstow Christmas Festival

Running from 6th to 9th December, Padstow Christmas Festival offers plenty of festive fun with twinkling lights, fantastic food and drink, as well as craft stalls offering unique gifts. To top it off, there’ll be demonstrations by some of the top chefs from around the country. You won’t want to miss the stunning firework display on Friday either - watch as the harbour lights up with bursts of spectacular colour.

Bodmin&Wenford Railway

Why not treat the family to a train ride they’ll never forget during your time in Cornwall this Christmas! Arriving at Bodmin General Station you’ll enjoy mince pies, festive drinks and carols on the platform before starting your voyage. Travelling along on the steam train you’ll visit Father Christmas, who will be giving each child a gift –there’ll be plenty of time for aphoto too, the perfectmemento!
