Easter in Cornwall

As the temperatures begin to rise and the days slowly draw out, those visiting Cornwall will find it brimmed full of fun things to see and do. Here are just some of our favourite days out to explore in Cornwall this Easter:

Pendennis Castle

Located just up the road from us here at The Royal Duchy, this Easter Pendennis Castle will be taking visitors back in time to meet the Tudors. Are you ready to hear the muskets roar and discover how the castle garrison defended the coast from invaders?

Falmouth Spring Festival

Running from 15th March – 2nd April, the festival celebrates the start of spring, as well as the coast, local community and culture. With a wide range of activities and events taking place across Falmouth – from guided walks to the Folk & Cider Fayre - there’s something for everyone!

Glendurgan Garden

Head over to Glendurgan during the Easter weekend and let the kids loose on the egg hunts and nature themed trails. Don’t worry, there’s a Cadbury chocolate prize for everyone who takes part.

From experiments and explosions to a chocolate egg hunt – along with the usual exhilarating rides around the park to enjoy – there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained at Flambards this Easter.

Head to the beach

If the sun is shining, then heading for a stroll or picnic on the beach is a must. We’re lucky enough to be located within easy walking distance of two of Falmouth’s beautiful sandy beaches. If you’re looking to try your hand at some rockpooling, Castle Beach is the perfect place to explore, whilst Gyllyngvase Beach offers up some fantastic views and a wide expanse of golden sand to enjoy. Why not treat yourself to coffee and cake or something more substantial at Gylly Beach Café whilst watching the waves roll in?
